Dr. Gonzalo Romero is a General Surgeon, certified by the American Board of Surgery, and practicing in Northern Virginia for over 28 years.  In addition to being board certified, Dr. Romero is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

As a General Surgeon he provides medical and surgical treatment for a variety of medical conditions including Appendicitis, Gall Bladder Disease, Hernias, Skin Lesions, Thyroid Lumps, and numerous other conditions.

He grew up in Bogotá, Colombia where he received his Medical Degree from National University of Colombia then moved to the United States shortly thereafter and completed his residency at Georgetown University.  Dr. Romero has five sons and seven grandchildren which he loves dearly, in addition to his wife, Caroline, who passed away in September 2003.
